Bath Abbey Pews offers purveyors of history and fine antiques to opportunity to acquire a piece of rare provenance.
Bath Abbey is one of the oldest and most important centres of Christianity in Britain and the building was fully renovated in the 1860s by the world-famous Gothic architect Sir George Gilbert Scott – designer of the Albert Memorial, ChristChurch Cathedral and St Pancreas Station and Hotel. He designed and installed the Abbey’s individual, carved oak pews, which remained in situ until removed in 2018.
Bath Abbey Pews saved these pews from being lost and now offers the few remaining number for sale, completely restored, and with a Certificate of Provenance signed by Bath Abbey Rector, and Abbey plan showing each pew’s position in the church.
Pews are available in their original size, or as sympathetically reduced sizes retaining their original character and aesthetic.
